His sketchbook didn't. A little upright reel — best watched on the phone in your hand.
A man set the pencil down on a park bench and walked off into the autumn. He was done. But the sketchbook lying open behind him wasn't — light and music came lifting off the page on their own, stars spilling up into the trees.
I love this one because it argues with quitting. You can stop. The thing you started might keep going anyway. That's reason enough to save a short.
